Automated HVAC tagging for Revit drawings

DESCRIPTION

Every HVAC model eventually has to become readable construction drawings.

That means duct size tags, elevation markers, diffuser labels, equipment marks, and other annotations have to be placed across every sheet.

In most teams, this is still done by humans. Drafters manually place tags, decide what needs to be labeled, clean up crowded views, and repeat the work when coordination changes move the model.

This creates errors that are hard to catch: missing tags, unclear labels, ambiguous elevations, wrong placements, and drawing issues that come back from production as RFIs, delays, or rework.

RayCAD automates this step.

It places clean, readable HVAC annotations inside Revit while following your firm’s drafting standard.

We fill the gap between a finished Revit model and a production-ready drawing.

EARLY PARTNER PROGRAM

We are working with a small number of HVAC BIM teams before public release.

Early partners test RayCAD on real Revit workflows and help shape the product around actual drawing standards.

They get early access, direct support, and discounted pricing after launch.

VISION

The goal is to automate the HVAC drafting pipeline from model data to production-ready drawings.

Tagging is the first focused step toward that larger workflow.

ABOUT

RayCAD is built by two brothers: a CSE undergrad at IIT Gandhinagar and an ex-Amazon SDE 2.

We are partnered with an HVAC detailing firm whose team has over a decade of industry experience and has worked on large projects including Sydney Metro station work.

That partnership gives us real Revit workflows, real drawing standards, real project files, and a direct feedback loop from the people who face this problem every day.
